Last week, my mother-in-law had brain surgery. This week, I tried to call her doctor to find out whether an eighty five year old woman who just had brain surgery should be showing up five days later at the family business to play scrabble like nothing happened. Yes, this is what my mother-in-law does regularly every week. On Mondays and Wednesdays, she and Rod’s ninety-four year old father show up to work so she can play scrabble while Richard does important things.
The doctor never called back so I guess it was okay. The staples come out this coming Tuesday. I hope she gets a what for then.
The Cthulhu reruns have mercifully ended. I wrote about a million Christmas gags, so it’s going to be a very loooong Christmas season for the Goth Scouts.

This is simply an attempt to figure out how to use the Blog portion of our show. I do believe that this web page is divided in two, with the blog at the bottom. I guess I’ll find out for sure if this publishes properly. Well, here goes…

Well, the Humorous Maximus site has been completely revamped, using Comic Press instead of Comikaze. It’ll take a little getting used to. Our grand poobah, Dan, decided it was better this way. I’m easy. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get back to blogging now that things are more settled.
The big news this week is Bodie. This is the Cairn rescue my daughter adopted. He and Shaq generally spend their days as a moving ball of puppies rolling from this side of the house to the other. It was kind of scary at first, but now I’m used to it. The lady in charge of the puppy class says that it’s all okay, so long as it doesn’t get serious. I can’t wait for Julia to get back from lacrosse camp so I can take a break. This weekend, Rod and I are off to Bristol, Rhode Island.
